InTech differs because relationships are stored depending on where you are in the system.

For example if you were uploading a document relating to an asset that was involved in an incident at a site then the same file would be linked to:

  • The asset, the incident and the site

Under the record note or file list there would be buttons as shown in the image. Clicking them take you through to the relevant record.

One upload and multiple records are seamlessly connected saving you time because you do not have to hunt for files and notes you have uploaded.

Easy of Use

The Inertia Technology platform has distinct portals for end users vs HSEQ/Compliance/Management needs.

This means that the users on the ground only have access to what they need to do their job – eg: the sites they are allocated to, the plant and equipment that they use and the forms they need for pre-starts and logging information.

For most staff users there is little need for training as they can bring up the platform on their phone and get working.

The HSEQ/Compliance/Management portal is fully featured but still enforces the concepts of access to specific sites and relevant controls around information security.

Training & Qualifications

Keeping records of inductions, training (formal and informal) and qualifications is an essential management practice. The risks to your business for incomplete records when faced with an investigation are significant. 

At Intertia Technology we follow the lifecycle of:

  • Creating/Managing training and qualification libraries
  • Assigning inductions and training to staff to complete via their portal
  • Having supervisors sign off on the training being complete 
  • Promoting the training into a qualification (be that internal or external)
  • Providing an expiring qualification report to make sure that people are up to date and nobody is going to site with an expired ticket.

A training course could be as simple as an acknowledgement form, to a complex set of steps needed for onboarding including uploading copies of licences and documentation all the way through to formal degrees and the units they entail.

Risk Management & Incidents

The Inertia Technology platform builds risk profiles based upon the activities being undertaken on site. These activities can be pulled into a a risk assessment from a library as a new site or project is undertaken.

Some types of the advantages of this process:

  • Risks & Activities are centrally management and visible
  • Users are prompted with known previous risks saving data entry
  • Risks and controls can be reported on across sites
  • Control measures are pre-populated
